Background & experience
Kevin qualified in the late 1970s and has practiced exclusively in the field of property since that time.
Kevin has acted for both occupiers and investors and also charities and not for profit organisations in relation to the acquisition and disposal of commercial property. He is experienced in the hotel office and retail sectors. He has been heavily involved throughout his career in landlord and tenant matters.
In addition to commercial property he is very experienced in acting for flat owners in applications for lease extensions of individual flats and in the purchase of the freehold of their blocks and in connection with Right to Manage Companies and block management problems. He also acts for landlords who are faced with such applications. He has dealt with numerous applications to the Tribunal in relation to lease extensions and enfranchisement claims and has represented tenants and landlords himself before the Tribunal on several occasions.
Solving knotty problems which in many instances have defeated other solicitors has been something Kevin has concentrated on throughout his career
Kevin completed a degree in Modern Languages at Cambridge University before switching to a career in the law. He speaks fluent French and rusty (but revivable) German.
