We have a responsibility to be as clear as possible regarding the level of fees which our clients may incur and we take that responsibility very seriously.
When instructed on a matter, we will issue an engagement letter at the outset which states the basis on which we will charge for that matter and the likely costs of any anticipated disbursements that may be incurred. Disbursements can include things such as search fees, courier charges and barristers’ fees where applicable.
Where we are charging based on the amount of time we spend, we will give you an initial estimate of costs and we will advise you if we believe that our fees may exceed our original estimate so that you can consider how you wish to proceed.
Our current rates which apply when we charge on an hourly basis are as follows: Senior Partner, £550; Heads of Department, £450; Partners, £425; Junior Partners, £350; Senior Associates, £325; Junior Associates, £295; and Trainees/Paralegals, £200. Where appropriate, we are happy to consider fixed or capped fees as alternative options. We do not work on a “no win no fee basis” except in exceptional circumstances.
In addition to our hourly rates, we have prepared summaries of the likely range of costs which you may incur in respect of residential property transactions, debt recovery services, employment tribunal cases and probate matters. Please click on the appropriate link below to access this information.
We hope that find this information useful. Please contact us if you would like further information on our fees for these or any other of the services which we provide and we will be happy to assist.
